Non-Member Guest Presenter Registration Rate Request (formerly known as the Membership Exemption) Non-Member Guest Presenter Registration Rate Request (upon request until March 20): Anthropologists outside of the U.S. or Canada, or non-anthropologists, may request the Non-Member Guest Presenter Registration Rate. This registration rate simply allows individuals to present at the Annual Meeting without joining AAA, but it must be requested by Wednesday, March 20. This rate does not provide a complimentary membership and does not include member benefits. The deadline to request this rate will expire on Wednesday, March 20. Option 2: Requesting a Waived Registration Fee >> The option below is for anthropologists outside of the U.S. or Canada, or for non-anthropologists. Anthropologists within the U.S. and Canada are ineligible for the option below.
Program Chair Waiver Assistance with registration fee and nullification of membership requirement (application deadline is March 20): For Anthropologists outside of the U.S. or Canada, or non-anthropologists, a Program Chair Waiver application may be completed to request a waived Annual Meeting registration. The application period will close on March 20.
AAA has a limited number of Program Chair Guest Registration Waivers available. To qualify, the applicant must either be a non-anthropologist who brings a different perspective to the meeting, or an anthropologist who lives outside the U.S. or Canada. Waiver recipients will receive a meeting registration to the 2019 AAA/CASCA Annual Meeting in Vancouver, BC, and a membership exemption. Travel and lodging costs are the responsibility of recipients, and the completion of an application does not guarantee selection as a recipient. All applications will be reviewed by our 2019 Executive Program Committee Co-Chairs, Pamela Downe (CASCA), Nicole Peterson (AAA), and Martha Radice (CASCA). Undergraduate Student Opportunities >> Undergraduate students may apply to volunteer at the Annual Meeting to have their registration fees reimbursed. The Undergraduate Student Volunteer Applicationwill open in August, and not everyone who applies will be accepted. Students to present at the Annual Meeting must still be registered (and AAA members) by the April 10 (3:00 pm Eastern) deadline in order to remain on submissions and be considered for the Annual Meeting program.
