The Department Leaders Summer Institute provides an opportunity for department leaders to have face-to-face conversations about the various challenges of administering a department and to share successful practices for dealing with these challenges. The inaugural institute was held in 2018; view the recap.
The second summer institute will be held on June 11–13, 2019 at Loyola University, Chicago. Department leaders will have an opportunity to assist with shaping the agenda that could include the following topics:
Invited speakers will lead conversations about diversity and inclusion in anthropology departments and preparing students for diverse careers:

AAA has not secured a room block. Participants are responsible for arranging and covering their own travel/lodging expenses.
