The Vancouver Convention Centre offers secure parking through independent operators within both West and East buildings. They operate 24 hours per day, 7 days a week on a first come, first serve basis. For more information, please review the Vancouver Convention Centre Parking Page.
Accessibility: Disabled parking is available at the Convention Centre, which is designated by the universal symbol of access. Disabled travelers can use their legally-issued accessibility parking permits, though it is recommended to carry documentation with you to verify ownership.
The Vancouver International Airport has been identified as "one of the world's most accessible airports." Accessible features at the airport include ramps and curbside parking, relief areas for guide dogs and service animals on the Arrivals level, fully-accessible restrooms, phone booths and TTY phones, plain language signage, low-mounted flight information monitors, visual paging monitors and public address systems, check-in counters adapted for wheelchair users, and contrasting, and textured flooring to guide blind and low-vision travellers.
If you require assistance during air travel, please share your needs in advance when booking with your airline and at check-in at the counter. If you have not used assistance during air travel in the past and would like to discuss this possibility prior to planning for it, you are welcome to reach out to the Accessibility Coordinator at email@example.com.
Amtrak requires reservations to provide appropriate support to disabled travels. Visit Amtrak's website, or call 1.800.USA.RAIL (872.7245) or TTY 1.800.523.6590, 24/7. Discounts may be available but require proof of disability. Companion fares are available and guide dogs and service animals may travel for free.
BC Ferries has a special vehicle loading for wheelchair users requiring access to an elevator. Service animals also permitted, and grass areas are available for relief at terminals. A friend or relative may travel with and assist disabled people by requesting a visitor pass. Reservations are required, so please call 1.888.BCFERRY (223.3779) at least 24 hours in advance if arranging assistance.
