Chairs and other department leaders in anthropology and related disciplines are invited to attend this year’s AAA Department Leaders Summer Institute from June 22–24 at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. The theme of this year’s institute is Anthropologically Informed Leadership for Equity and Accessibility, reflecting the particular insights that our discipline gives us for supporting DEI work, as well as the necessity of creating policies and workplace cultures that materially support these values. Participants will attend workshops and panel discussions, join in a variety of networking events, and will be invited to provide case studies from their own experience to contribute to our knowledge base on anthropology and academic leadership. Catered meals are provided, as well as a visit to the AAA’s new traveling exhibition World on the Move: 250,000 Years of Human Migration. Registration is $100, or complimentary for partners in the AAA Department Services Program.
