2019 AAA/CASCA Program Highlights

A conversation with Douglas Cardinal, a renowned Canadian architect of Métis, Blackfoot/Kainai, German, and Algonquin heritage, will open the 2019 AAA/CASCA Annual Meeting. 

The program also offers 18 Executive and Presidential Sessions that speak to this year's theme of Changing Climates.
Consider attending one of the Late-Breaking Sessions as well.

Join us in Vancouver to be a part of exciting conversations around topics like:

  • Anthropological intervention in the opioid crisis (featuring a special live recording of the Crackdown Podcast)
  • Public anthropology and the resistance to public writing

The theme of the joint AAA/CASCA 2019 Meeting to be held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada is Changing Climates: Struggle, Collaboration, and Justice / Changer d’air: Lutte, collaboration et justice. This theme was developed through a collaborative effort by the Executive Program Committee, which includes members of both CASCA and the AAA.
