She specializes in the archaeological study of craft production and the political economies of Andean South America. She is the editor of the recent volume Making Value, Making Meaning: Techné in the Precolumbian World, and author of “Gender and Status in Inca Textile and Ceramic Production” and “What is a Workshop?”
