Advocacy Resources

  • Ukraine Resources

The AAA continues to monitor the outrageous and unprovoked Russian military invasion of Ukraine taking place. It is important to raise our voices in outrage and call for a stop to the hostilities.

  • COVID 19 Resources

Although the COVID-19 pandemic is waning, anthropological insights continue to provide valuable research and teaching resources for health promotion, disease prevention, and the strengthening of health systems. These resources support open and fact-based conversations about the pandemic and community responses.

  • The Proliferation of Border and Security Walls Task Force

In addition to its affiliation with Scholars At Risk, AAA will maintain its active membership in the American Association for the Advancement of Science’s Coalition for Science and Human Rights.

Opportunities with the United Nations

Advocacy Action Center

AAA advocates for the increase of federal funding streams that support scholars affiliated with the AAA. One of the key ways it does so is through its membership in the National Humanities Alliance, a coalition of organizations that advocates for federal funding for humanities research, teaching, programming, and preservation and access. The National Humanities Alliance (NHA) is a nationwide coalition of organizations advocating for the humanities on campuses, in communities, and on Capitol Hill.
